We are a four piece indie rock cover band made up of lead guitar and vocalist Ross, rhythm guitar and vocalist Butch, bass guitar and vocalist Wev and Jason on drums. Since the band formed in June 2004, we have enjoyed playing at a host of local venues throughout Lincolnshire and Yorkshire regions. Our musical influences are wide ranging, anything from The Beatles to The Beastie Boys, The Killers to The Sex Pistols.
Originally, we were a band called the Hicks comprising of Wev, Ross, Nigel and the late Warren Peacock (pictured). After Warrens passing it spurred us to carry on and reform under our new name the Peacocks in memory of him and gain new members Butch and Jason.
Our first gig as the Peacocks was a private event at the Blossom Way, Immingham.
The band has since gone from strength to strength acquiring a huge following wherever we play. Our gigs have taken us to a host of places from The Piper, East Hull to The Black Bull in East Halton. We have been fortunate enough to be involved in a major charity event held at Blossom Way, Immingham, in aid of St. Andrews' Hospice and raised a huge amount of money for the cause.... including auctioning the shirts off our backs!
Our biggest event yet has been at The Civic Centre, Immingham for a fancy dress party. We performed to a capacity crowd dressed in 70's clobber, which was a sight for sore eyes!
We hope to carry on our success in and carry the memory of Warren in to the future and hope you will join us on our journey.
